Poetry

Seduced in rehab by a psychopathic glamour model.

Although the words she speaks bear little or no truth,
Somehow I hang on each and every word she says,
It is my choice to feign this ignorance for her,
I see the beauty in her every single way.

And though I know she may have played me like a game,
And now I feel cast aside as a broken toy,
I'd gladly let her play the game again today,
My disappointments far exceeded by the joy.

I pray that in her heart she's asked the question,
Does he believe this; is he really such a fool,
And I hope that on a level she's aware,
That I ignore the lies hoping she's not so cruel.

In therapy I watch her change her mood at will,
She moves the men like pawns and casts them in their roles,
I ask, how measured is the way she sets the scene,
How easily we fall, bring on the curtain call.

I worry; will the wall she’s built come crashing down,
I’d bet that no one knows her real truth but her,
I hope she doesn’t have to carry it alone,
The burden would be so unfair, or does she care?

And lastly there’s a thing I’d like this girl to know,
That I’d forgive whatever things she’d ever done,
And I would guard her little secrets ‘til I pass,
And I would help her with her game until she’d won.
And I would like the girl to know that all I’d need,
Is just to share a little company sometimes,
And though the selfish part of me of course wants more,
Just a little to look forward to is fine.

I cannot think if I have seen more perfect legs,
Her sultry voice so sweet so sexy so divine,
And in her eyes there is such beauty and such depth,
Her kiss holds far more pleasure than the finest wine.

The feeling of her breasts pressed up against your chest,
That glistening smile atop those legs in those high heels,
And the excitement in the passion of her sex,
And her golden hair, could she possibly be real?

She is, for I have met, forgave and loved her.

My Children apoem for Shaheed Dad - a friend

I was a boy, a child of 18 years,
You came home into the world made me a man,
And now I’m working hard just to be there,
This separation is simply unfair.

I never knew how much I’d love you both,
I thought I could be strong without you there,
I lost you that was when I realised,
How much I miss the sunshine in your eyes.

Your hair, I want to stroke it all the time,
Your skin, I want to feel it close to me,
There’s nothing in the world that I want more,
Than my children to know that I adore.

I love you both and that is just the truth,
There’s nothing that will ever come between,
My love for you will never cease to grow,
My love has more colours than a rainbow.

Anything, everything, just ask. You are my life and I love you.
